When all around you is fog and clouds and you can't see a thing,
you need a light to see the way.

  

                           


 

This poem was written by Victor Hugo, a very famous French writer.  He lost
his daughter, Leopoldine, who was drowned she was in a small boat on the
river Seine.  She was a young lady and her death left a deep impressionon
him.  He has written poems about her.
